As a way of mitigating the Larimer community’s long standing designation as a food desert, Flourishing Communities is planning to build a high tech urban farm store with an attached state of the art greenhouse. Modeled after Manchester Bidwell’s upcoming urban farm store and in consultation with Local Dutch, experts from the Netherlands in the field of Controlled

Environmental Agriculture, we will turn Larimer into a 365-day per year produce growing hub. With the support of the Larimer Consensus Group, we are currently identifying development partners and pursuing site control of designated parcels in Larimer. It is our hope that we will be able to break ground and open in 2025.
